Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid, the top most spiritual poet in Siraiki Language, was born in 26 November 1845 at Kot Mithan, chacharan, Sindh. He was a great scholar of his time and wrote several books. He knew Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sindhi, Panjabi, Braj Bhasha, and Seraiki. He was a poet of Seraiki and Urdu. He was a 19th-century Punjabi and Seraiki Sufi poet. He belonged to the Chishti Order and was a mystic from Bahawalpur, Punjab during the British Raj. A contemporary of Mast Tawakali and Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, he penned resistance through poetry against British colonial rule.
His tomb comprises glazed Kashi tiles in various designs, Fresco paintings, carved wooden doors, brick imitation, wooden Jhaler on the verandah, and floral painting on wooden beams and ceilings.
