The Musk Deer National Park was establidhed in 2007. Under the Himalayan Wildlife Foundation, the park was established for having the remote north east area of the Neelum Valley in AJK. In order to support the communities living in and around Musk Deer National Park, HWF implemented projects with funding from PPAF for the development of the Infrastructure for the communities.
