Kala Chitta was established in 2009 and it covers 91,343 acres of land. It is located in Attock District of Punjab Province.
Marine and terrestrial ecoregions overlap within the protected area. The habitat diversity of the park has been characterized by a number of distinct habitats for the terrestrial part, and by looking at the complexity of the bathymetry for the marine parts.
