Abbottabad is the capital city of Abbottabad District within the Hazara locale of eastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is the 40th biggest city in Pakistan and fourth-biggest within the area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the populace. It is almost 120 km (75 mi) north of Islamabad-Rawalpindi and 150 km (95 mi) east of Peshawar, at a rise of 1,256 m (4,121 ft). Kashmir lies to the east. Abbottabad is also known as the “city of the pines”. One of the most critical places for army training in Pakistan, the Pakistan Military Academy, is placed in Kakul, near Abbottabad.
Abbottabad has been drawing in sightseers to the city since the colonial period. It is a significant travel point to all actual traveller locales of Pakistan such as Nathiagali, Ayubia and Naran. Concurring to the Royal Gazetteer of India, “the town is pleasantly arranged at the southern corner of the Hasty (Orash) plain, 1,256 m (4,121 ft) over the sea”.
