Hundrap-Shandur National Park was established in 2012. It covers around 8,000 acres of land and it is located in Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. It also hosts the famous local Shandur Polo Festival.

The Park is the part of conservation and protection of the wildlife, Glaciers and watershed areas. It lies in the areaa of Shandur polo ground, Shandur pass. The climate naturally offers a variety of flora and fauna that includes Snow leopard, Indian grey wolf, Himalayan ibex, Himalayan brown bear Palla’s cat, Cape hare and stone marten. Birds includes Booted Eagle, Eurasian Sparrow Hawk, Golden eagle, Himalayan Griffon vulture, Common Artemisia, Ephedra, Wild rose, Barbaris and Potentilla.
